MemberGood job beating fallout 1, personally I won't play fallout 1 or 2 because of one little thing, I can't stand games with time limits.
I can accept time limits for narrative reasons, such as someone said something was going to happen at X time, and when X time comes comes it happens, but gameplay wise I hate it because no matter how lenient the time limits it always feels like i'm being rushed and pushed along.

MemberActually, the initial time limit in Fallout 1 goes away once you bring the water chip from Necropolis back to your vault (After repairing the water pump, I would hope.)
After that, there is a glitch that ends the game if you play for 13 in-game years (For technical game engine reasons, apparently), but you can easily beat the game and experience everything it has to offer before needing to spend that amount of time.
As for Fallout 2, it has the same 13 year bit due to being the same engine, but again, more than enough time to play to your heart’s content.
Unarmed build for life.

Memberdoes fallout 2 even have an initial time limit? i've started it at least a dozen times but don't really remember there being a set time limit at all. but yeah like avid said, getting rid of the time limit in 1 is super easy. (plus you can extend it to like, 200 days by talking to the water merchants in the hub. but that isn't really necessary given how generous the initial time limit already is)
but still, feeling rushed is fair ig.

Membersuit yourself. later games didn't really have a sense of urgency that the original game did.
this includes fallout 2, which had an extremely generous time limit, that only existed due to technical limitations. you are almost certainly not going to hit in in a normal playthrough.
