I don't want you right now, I'm trying to sleep.

NPT- that's Nocturnal Penile Tumescence, more commonly known as Morning Wood. I woke up the other morning... well, pretty much every morning really... thinking about how morning wood really isn't as fun as a lot of furry art makes it out to be. For those of you who may have a penile deficiency (aka girls, I guess), let me break it down a bit.

It's actually got nothing at all to do with arousal, at least most of the time. It's a natural occurance during sleep, actually happening several times a night. Sometimes it's going on as we wake up, and when that's the case all you really get out of it is an uncomfortable feeling of something stabbing into the mattress while you're trying to sleep. If you sleep on your back it's probably not an issue, but I tend to sleep in my front a lot, which means the poor guy ends up getting squashed between me and the bed most mornings.

So yeah, really not as fun as it looks, at least if you don't have anybody around at the time to take care of it for you. xD
