I'm glad there is a blacklist, but there's still that every so often something slips through the cracks due to improper or lazy tagging. Aside from that, works basically all the time.

I can't blacklist. That would go against facing my fears, and that is the cowards way out.

(Also, alot of potentially good stuff could be blocked too)

I remember hearing rumors of an ancient moderator who conjured up insightful wiki pages with a single thought. And could properly tag even the most complex and obscure posts. But one day an improperly tagged post slipped through the cracks and it's contents too dreadful to speak of. It took but one glance to drive them mad. I do on very rare occasion and it's more artist and select terms that I generally don't find agreeable.

Even then I do so with caution because I don't want to miss out on a piece that might actually make good use of the subject or an artist that breaks the norm.

But certain tags (getting blacklisted) end up just being for better mental health. Like say..scat.

The issue I've found is that sometimes when I blacklist stuff, that stuff still pops up in searches. I don't know, maybe I'm not using it right, but if the blacklist doesn't actually work properly, I have a right to bitch.

I'm not a mod or anything, but some posts (especially unreviewed ones) might be poorly tagged, which is usually why you see the stuff you would normally have blacklisted.
Also, make sure that you have it enabled at the bottom of the search page. I sometimes leave it off on accident and then wonder why I'm seeing more weird stuff than usual.
I'd you're 100% certain that you see a post with a tag from your blacklist, you could contact a mod or file a bug report, the mods are generally eager to help on this site.

It really is powerful and useful like I wish this blacklist worked on other web site and just like in life, like if someone you don't like add them to the black list now all they are is a "person place holder".

My blacklist avoids that problem. Only got stuff I don't wanna see no matter what blacklisted.

I've become desensitized enough to not need one tbh
