    Recently, beta designs of pokemon from red and green have been revealed. Here, we have cubone and marowak, with marowak being... significantly larger and holding a baby.

    So yes, there is a sorta connection with Kangaskhan, but it's far more complicated than "cubone is a baby kangaskhan".

    Wait. Really? I'm rather excited. So far we've gotten reveals for Gens 1 and 2. I'm hoping to see the other Generations too in the future.

    There are a couple from gen 3, such as torchic and the reveal that blaziken and latias were the same pokemon at one point.

    I've never had any issues like that with bulbapedia. I always thought it was clear when they talked about game lore and anime lore, and didn't just mix the two together.

    They weren't always so and every once in a while an editor will come in who is rather clueless and mashes the two up once more.
