This was a wonderful way to spend the start of an afternoon, a leisurely stroll through the park. Kiarra couldn’t imagine anything more wholesome than that. The mature fox smiled down at Sherri, she was still astounded at how she’d come to know the spunky little canine. Kiarra worked with Sherri’s elder sister, Mally, both of them in the tech field doing support and the like and when the feline brought her home it was like she was instantly part of the family.

The vixen smiled recollecting the way a place at the table was immediately made for her without her asking, and with her insistence that she didn’t want to be a burden. From that day on she was part of that weird little family, Ellie frequently doted on her, Mally was always checking in, and Sherri was ever the sweet but bratty little sister chasing at her tail for something or other.

Her eyes drifted down to Sherri who was happily walking the trail with her. “Hey, Sherri?” Sherri looked up and Kiarra offered a sweet smile. “Thanks for inviting me.”
