Artist Description
I'm still working on the Purty Birdies, folks.
It started when I discovered the anthro-avian work of corrovocorrvo corrvo TheLoneCrowthelonecrow thelonecrow MargoFmargof margof and several other artists.
I was inspired in working on my first major animation and graphic novel project when I saw their work and have had trouble not drawing avian characters since then. So the core goal is to draw up near every type of bird out there in the world into a beauty like what you see here.
I'm starting with the birds that are in my home state, Texas, which according to wikipedia, there are 600+ birds here . . . So, yeah, it's a big'un.
Any tips or critiques for this would be great.

PrivilegedTo reiterate my comment in the old post:
Only male frigate birds have the red chest feathers and inflate them to attract females.
This is technically a crossdressing male puffing his chest to simulate breasts. Definitely overall female in appearance as per TWYS despite sexual dimorphism, so perhaps male_(lore) is warranted (in lieu of crossdressing+male). Though I think gender-lore tags only apply to specific characters, not a species in general.
