  • Sorry @shadowcat_nyx, but I found at least three free sources for this, two which were hosting identical quality.

Altough it would be nice if artist would verify their account here and/or put in some actual sources in the source field instead of patreon link which isn't technically source and belongs to description and/or artist wiki page - or if linking patreon then linking to actual patreon post with the content.

If you click Flags under History on left side panel, you can see that this post was flagged to be deleted as paid material by user. My assumption was that they did this because the source was stated to be patreon.

Then I simply ranted how much I hate it when source fields are not used for source.

URL like https://www.patreon.com/DesertKaiju is NOT a source. This is a gallery link where you would have to manually seek out the submission, it can be used in extension of submission URL (especially with services like patreon where submission URL is not directly linked to patreon account if content is deleted for example) but in itself it's not a source. It can be in sources, but only after proper submission link, othervice it's adviceable to leave the sources completely empty.

These links should be primarily put into description and/or artist wiki which you can find by pressing ? next to artist tag. Artist wiki also has additional information like artists e621 account if they have verified their account with anyone in staff, so that staff and users are aware that if something is uploaded, it's done by actual artist and not impersonator (which we have had). You can see this in action e.g. in blitzdrachin artist wiki where it says User and has link to userprofile. Our rules on nicknames are extremely relaxed, we even have user named e621 Admin which isn't part of staff as you can see from their user level.

When I wrote that comment, I already changed source field to have 4 proper source links which also confirm that this is indeed not leaked paid material so that I could deal with that user flag and remove it. I do still need to verify the situation instead of just deleting content immidiately when it's flagged.
