Lizard Slave - Collar Detail

A comment on my recent animation inspired me to render this out right quick. There are some details on the lizard slave model I haven't really talked about but I think are pretty interesting, so I thought it might be fun to share. My models aren't really designed for this kind of close-up viewing so you'll see some wonk here and there, but the main point of this image is the collar and the modifications I had to make to it to fit it on her. All those plates got in the way, so I had to fiddle with it quite a bit to get it to wrap around her neck. I puzzled over how to get it around that giant plate in the back for a long time until it finally occurred to me... she's a slave. That kind of life doesn't come with being treated necessarily well, and it didn't seem out of place that whoever handles her might drill a hole right through her if it serves their needs. So that's what I did!

Another little detail that I personally find kind of neat is how everything that could have potentially been used as a weapon has been filed down to a rounded edge- every plate, her nails, her horns and even her teeth are rounded off somewhat. I figured a slave shouldn't be walking around wearing weapons all day.

So yeah, this image isn't anything terribly exciting, just a few details that I thought some of you may find interesting, and are small enough that they might never come up in a proper animation so I'm tossin' it up here instead!
