Sam - Oversexed Evolutions

by Kuroodod

Source Description:
A new look, but that same lovable personality. In this new tale Sam returns from a long trip, back to Pride's guild. A large building between towns with it's own economy and living quarters.

Sam here is a fennec fox. He may be short, but he's still "packing". Another image follow up will make this veeeery clear.

I've got the comic behind this series planned out to all of Volume 1 and I'm revising it as I come up with new ideas. I'll be streaming concept work like this image over at https://picarto.tv/Kuroodod

Thanks for reading! More on the way! x3

  • By the look of him. He got a lot of stamina to let off.
That'll do wonders in the future.
I can't wait to see what Sam's getting his weens in next.

  • Ol' Nintendo. Masters of their craft, and also Masters of 'not realizing that they're not losing money because people make porn of their shit, and if anything probably boosts interests in their own product.'

This is the same company that bought out a live-action porn parody of their top breadwinner. (I'm not making this up.)

Which media are you referring to? I.e. What did Nintendo buy?

Look, I'm as frustrated as the rest of the site that this happened, but your post is wrong. Trademark laws (which cover, among other things, the appearance and species names of Pokemon) are very specific about this: If you don't defend your trademark, you LOSE IT.

Furthermore, there's no way around the fact that Kuroodod was making money on his Patreon off of Nintendo's (or at least Niantic's) IP. It's not money that Nintendo or Niantic would have otherwise gotten, but it was still money off of a base product he did not have rights for.

Bless you for your rational way of thinking. He was leeching off Nintendos most popular IP. I dont get why people are upset about this lol. Be happy that Nintendo didnt just hit him with a serious lawsuit. Hes just not allowed to make money of something he doesnt own anymore. Oh no!

Why are you asking to be lynched?

  • To be honest, when I first saw this redesign, I was sort of hesitant, but the more I look at it, the more I get attached to it. I think kuroodod did a great job rebounding from this whole ordeal. It may not be the same comic on the outside, but it will be on the inside.

  • Does this mean that "Oversexed Eeveelution" is over and "Changing Fates" is now the new story or a redesign or replacements of the eeveelutions?

  • Oh. So the original will now never be finished? That's a shame, I really liked the pokemon designs and I really don't feel these new ones. I hope there aren't many like me, though from the looks of it not that many people are bothered, which is great! Enjoy his new content fella's~.

It is going to be finished, but it just isn’t going to be made as fast as it was, apparently

  • The memes made from the comics could have been a factor in Nintendo noticing this particular comic, but that's just a theory

They went after Diives at about the same time. I find it more likely that Diives and Kuroodod were targeted because they do much of their fanart through Patreon.

Fair Use: "Am I a joke to you?"

    Fair Use:
(in US copyright law) the doctrine that brief excerpts of copyright material may, under certain circumstances, be quoted verbatim for purposes such as criticism, news reporting, teaching, and research, without the need for permission from or payment to the copyright holder.

Nothing about this was fair use. Money was being made off of copyrighted material who's only purpose was entertainment. The sale of the material was Illegal, and while highly unlikely, if enough pokemon fan comic were made and sold it could technically reduce the value of whatever reading material is officially released. The appearance of the new characters is damn near the same, but it's different enough that it could be considered (in a certain sense) a parody if Nintendo tried to pursue it.

Can't imagine this will be a popular comment, but generally speaking theft is theft. If nothing else the new characters are better designed than they were before and the new appearances will likely raise interest even in people who came for the Pokemon aspect due to the echos they have of their original selves.

so sam is not an eevee anymore?

That's what his "long trip" was about...he went and had Species Reassignment surgery...he went away an Eevee and came back a Fennic

  • Everyone else has powers, what is Sam's? Can he still turn into the same species as those he sleeps next to or is it something else?

  • Say what you will. Nintendo made a slight mistake here. Let's look at the facts, kuroodod is honestly better at drawing pokemon than the people that Nintendo hired to. Instead of shooting someone down I would have made an offer: work for us and still get payed, but not have to worry about copyrights, and we will let you continue your downtime art. Cause we're not gonna make porn of our own stuff and people love it. Also you can keep it on your patreon if we get a certain amount of the income produced, think of it as a trade, and you have huge benefits. I personally would have done this if it were my company, cause even though they own it they probably use the art to get off as well.

That would be awesome, and not even too surprising. After all, they did dabble in the love hotel industry back in the day. I just don't think the world would be ready for that unfortunately.
