Pride - Changing Fates

by Kuroodod

Source Description:
Pride returns in this new tale as Guild leader of Flaming Fates. With the goal of improving the lives, or fates of those less fortunate. Pride is a Shiba Inu, sporting a large fluffy collar and guild shirt with her name badge. She's also the cover girl of a famous magazine Sam reads, and his idol.

Her abilities include powers over increasing temperature of objects and individuals around her. Igniting close objects, shooting fire and immunity to the effects of high heat and direct flames.

And naturally this being Pride, her personality and demeanor return from OSE... and her plump backside. *Cough*

I've got the comic behind this series planned out to all of Volume 1 and I'm revising it as I come up with new ideas. I'll be streaming concept work like this image over at https://picarto.tv/Kuroodod

Thanks for reading! More on the way! x3

If you check the comments on the last post, you'll see that Nintendo flexed their lawyer muscles.

  • In layman's terms to anybody asking about it in the future... Nintendo unleashed Phoenix Wright on people making money off of drawing Pokemon porn. They don't care if you are drawing them. Only if you are making money off them.

My man, has it occurred to you that not everyone is keeping up with every post or checking the comments on every single one?

    Calm down.

As for the pic, I myself don't like how flat her head is... I hope his redesigns do the characters justice, but her head seems too. . flattish, to me.. It doesn't look like a shibe's head (The one's I've seen anyway..) if that's what she's meant to be.

I'm sorry, but am I missing something? Calydors' comment didn't seem that mean to me.

  • I actually really like Pride's new design. It's extremely fitting to her personality, and looks extremely close to the original design to begin with!

It certainly wasn't intended to be mean, just directions to where there are a lot of comments discussing what happened. I figured it was better than having the same conversation in every post by Kuroodod for the next few months.

Nice to see fair use is still well and dead.
Goodbye OSE, say hi to Uranium and Pixelmon for me, and every other fan-project that Nintendo's bullied out of existence because fuck it why not

  • I am not sure you know what fair use means.

It is not dead. I am going to put a quote here, directly from the law books regarding fair use.

The Effect of the Use Upon the Potential Market
Another important fair use factor is whether your use deprives the copyright owner of income or undermines a new or potential market for the copyrighted work. Depriving a copyright owner of income is very likely to trigger a lawsuit. This is true even if you are not competing directly with the original work.

For example, in one case an artist used a copyrighted photograph without permission as the basis for wood sculptures, copying all elements of the photo. The artist earned several hundred thousand dollars selling the sculptures. When the photographer sued, the artist claimed his sculptures were a fair use because the photographer would never have considered making sculptures. The court disagreed, stating that it did not matter whether the photographer had considered making sculptures; what mattered was that a potential market for sculptures of the photograph existed. (Rogers v. Koons, 960 F.2d 301 (2d Cir. 1992).)

Again, parody is given a slightly different fair use analysis with regard to the impact on the market. It’s possible that a parody may diminish or even destroy the market value of the original work. That is, the parody may be so good that the public can never take the original work seriously again. Although this may cause a loss of income, it’s not the same type of loss as when an infringer merely appropriates the work. As one judge explained, “The economic effect of a parody with which we are concerned is not its potential to destroy or diminish the market for the original—any bad review can have that effect—but whether it fulfills the demand for the original.” (Fisher v. Dees, 794 F.2d 432 (9th Cir. 1986).)

TL:DR If you make money off of somebody else's work. They are well within their rights to put a stop to it.

Kuroodod could post pokemon porn all he wants. What he can't do is make money off of it. Diives is the same situation. He still does pokemon stuff when he intends on releasing it directly to the public.

Based on Wrath's redesign, I wonder if this isn't a subtle fuck you to Nintendo by referencing their prior incarnations.
