Thanks cowboy, but everywhere else in the world she's just one year too young and in some countries she could even drink weak alcoholic beverages with her 17 years of age.
Considering that Twokinds is playing in a medieval-ish world it wouldn't surprise me either if every adolescent was already allowed to drink wine or beer.

In the more backwards parts of the world maybe, only 1 year too young in civilized countries though.

You get a learner permit at 16 at least I did but you have to have an adult with you it's 18 to get the actual license to drive alone unless you worked on a farm or something which would be an exception and you can get a license earlier.

In the 90's when I got mine, at 15 you could get your permit, had to have a licensed driver over 21 with you. At 16 you could get a regular license with no restrictions. Driving for a farm (I grew up on one), you had to be a minimum of 13 to operate a tractor (with a safety course). And 16 with license to drive an 18 wheeler (no CDL required). I know they had more restrictions now, but didn't think it was that much.
