Horseplay

Those of you who've been watching me long enough and reading my descriptions probably remember me saying I occasionally get completely hung up on a picture. This was definitely one of those pictures. I drew it and re-drew it, fixed it and tweaked it, gave up on it and started over... I'm pretty sure it took me an entire day just to get the sketch right.

Once I got that done, I spent the whole colouring and shading process feeling like I was ruining the picture.

"Oh god, I screwed up the shading. Maybe it'll look okay once it's coloured, just keep working. Bah, don't like the colours either, maybe the background will come out good? Oh dear, I this isn't working at all either. I've ruined everything! It's terrible and awful and...

...oh wait, now that it's done I actually rather like it. Okay!"

Let that be a lesson to always finish your pictures, folks. It may not be perfect, but you'd be surprised how often a picture that you feel has totally fallen apart while you're working on it just sort of comes together in the last five minutes.

With all that said! I'm actually fairy satisfied with the final result. There are definitely issues and things I could have done better, but for how things went while drawing it, I'm very pleasantly surprised. I hope you all like it. Let me know your thoughts, folks!
