Well, if you want to go by evolutionary necessity, anthro canines shouldn't have knots. But since when has evolution been a strict dictator of a character's design? There are some cases where people take the time to go that in-depth for whatever reason, of course, but this clearly isn't one of them.

As I see it, this is just an example of "I thought it was cool", and was never intended to withstand logical scrutiny.

It makes sense...so much sense...I was thinking of this as I'm drawing my shark character..but it doesn't look right to me. But it's there. Yes.

Well snakes only use one side at a time and alternate between them so really hemipenes are more like half-dicks.

Really though, this character has multiple penises because rule of sexy, and I think that having an anthro and feral in one form is kind of a good idea, especially when it is done as well as this. Sure it doesn't make sense from an evolutionary standpoint, but neither do most furries.

Take Star Fox for example. They have a fox, wolf, frog (slippy is a frog despite his name) and other anthropomorphic animals flying around in space fighters, in a far away solar system. They are clearly humanoid versions of Earth animals, but they are nowhere close to Earth, and the chances of life evolving on other planets to not only resemble Earth animals, but be called the exact same thing, is extremely unlikely, almost impossible odds. It doesn't make much sense, but people like it anyway, and it works because it doesn't take itself too seriously (most of the time).

In furry characters designed to be sexy or appeal to certain fetishes like tentacles, sure you could have it be a squid or octopus, but I feel that it's better to go for a more creative option than to just have an overabundance of those. Does it make sense for something that has fur to have smooth slick tentacles? Not at all, but for people who are into that kind of thing they'll like it anyway. In this case it's combining the most visually appealing features of dolphins and sharks.

Just remember that this character design isn't intended to be placed into a large epic story with gritty reality.
