Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Description

Oberon & Mavan

Oberon is a Drakkar – and one of the most vicious of his kind – the great horned beasts that sit atop the food chain of the Jiitai mountains. Mavan is his master, one of the exemplars of knightly skill from the city of Amexal that make it their trade to bond with such beasts and ride them into war.

Oberon was once known as The Beast of Nifrit Pass, a predator that had savaged a number of trade caravans and most of the hunters sent to put this fearsome creature down. Yet, when the creature was brought low, the hunter that bested them was able to capture the beast to bring it back to Amexal.

Mavan of House Krie is an old, venerable figure. Twice passed over for the position of Archon – remaining instead as Consul – he has been a steady hand and consistent advisor for three generations of nobility already, and a fourth are already taking his wisdom to heart. It was his calm temperament that was able to cool the fury of Oberon; melting them together into a warrior kinship far stronger than either of them could be alone.
