This is a 680x950 flat color version I did for coloring practice. I kept it small-ish to support the artist's right to distribute the larger resolution versions as they see fit (like on Gumroad and/or Patreon). Please respect that.

Finally, this was something of a gift. Someone won a raffle slot from the artist and supplied them with references of Tracey's Pikachu stage. When it was completed, I was sent a link to the artist's post. It was like a surprise gift.

I asked the artist if I was allowed to do a color job and they basically said I could do so. So here we are.

This is the result of my coloring practice in SAI. The original shrunken-down sketch is in my scraps gallery for those who are curious.

I find myself wishing to study up more and maybe find a brush specifically for drawing shading. Something to look into later.

In any case, I cleaned up some of the sticky-outy bits as I went and reinforced the lines a bit, so they're darker than the original.

I'm a ways off the same coloring skill that ScorpDK has (regarding the eyes), but its a goal to work toward in the long run. Still, its not that bad for an attempt in my opinion. I did have to make up my mind on if Tracey was wearing thigh-high pantyhose or not though. Went with garters and tossed in a little bit of transparency for them.

She came out looking younger than her current Ternary Polarity incarnation. Decades younger in fact. Probably just post-college maybe. I like the effect this had on her. I also wound up asking myself what event is going on that she'd have to dress up like that for, but I'm sure I'll think of something later.

This got me thinking about a prequel with Tracey being the central character, though its scope would end before her first bout of hard times comes along. ... I'd have to whiteboard the entire thing and make it art-only since I have my hands full on the writer's block front.
