i'd like to ask that you don't post publicly about doing that. It makes us lose the desire to keep drawing. I 100% respect artists wanting to make some money for the work they do. It's not like it's easy. Completely understandable. However, when you string people along for nearly a year before slamming the toll gate shut, it's also understandable for people to be disappointed. Only censoring it once we're finally reaching the percieved apex of the story is what feels underhanded. Not the paywall itself.

Oh, well. No real harm done, I suppose. Myself and everyone else will get over it and you'll certainly gain a few new patrons out of it.

People aren't really pissed that the artist introduced a paywall. People are pissed that the artist introduced a paywall into an almost 12 month old comic. Getting really invested into the story for a whole year and then getting smacked in the face by a paywall just feels disappointing and cheap.

This seems to be the problem on the side for the viewers from what i gather. But at this moment:

- The artist is surprised and angry and threatens with extra censorship if people leak,
- certain viewers are surprised and angry about censorship and threatens to leak content,

Can't we all just get along mates?

Honestly I'm not even mad I'm more disappointed than anything else, there's been a couple times this has happened on other unrelated projects. my general reaction is mainly disappointment because I know how pissed off people get over something the longer you tease something before doing that.

It won't be the first time its happened. I'll live, but Now I'm gonna have to put up with not scrolling down on comments unless I'm ready for drama now I suppose. Artists gotta eat too.

Thank you. I don't normally mind censorship, it's just that I feel like it's kind of strange that nothing else was censored in this comic until now. I guess I can do a blacklist line that says 'censored grimart', though (thank you, e621 staff, for the flexibility of the blacklist).

I thought it was censored because of camera footage that was confiscated by police because something bad is going to happen (and this is the past now?).

But I guess it's just paywall. I'm not upset, I understand. But it had me freaked out because I'm absolutely not here for the nudes (I didn't expect any porn here, honestly). I'm here for the plot, the story.

I'd rather it just be censored outright than look like a canon thing (despite being highly anti-censorship).

Reasons like this is why people start leaking stuff I don't approve not hate this decision but it gets easier to see why leaks happens

I feel as if this would have gone over better had the artist made it known on one of the earlier pages that this might/would happen, but I guess that's just the benefit of hindsight.
