Try to increase the resolution, it will allow you to use thinner lines for outlin, they will be sharper too.

I used the resolution of the source sketch, maybe next time i will try to increase the resolution.

Try to put colour layers under the lines layer using some colour removal functions, or above lines using filters. But don't colour on the lines layer :3
