I don't think this is really true. There's so much well-drawn furry porn that people don't really gush about the lousy stuff... unless it conforms to a specific fetish of theirs.

The point is that generic porn is generally regarded with a nigh on insane amount of positive affection from fanbases in general. Emotional pornography or clean work is generally pushed aside, and the artists that do them are often little known and struggle with self-depreciation because of it.

Example: Wolfy Nail does artistically sound, but extraordinarily /generic/, pornography, and the fandom loses it's mind over every piece.

The sad thing is someone recently made a tool where you can make a giant custom cock - nothing else - and it's the most popular thing ever. :-p

Do people really think that it is ok to badger artists for nsfw requests? It's rude to make requests at all. If an artist wants to draw for others they will ask for recommendations or do commissions.
