This art style reminds me of The Starry Night painting, and I don't know what about it is it, but I'd like to try to explain what I'm thinking is Focus...

This art style I'd expect to see in drawings such as landscapes, or great views, or like crowds of people, where you're not specifically focusing on One thing...

Look at Twilight in the lower right and how she's drawn: small, facing away from the viewer, minding her own business, whatever it might be, kinda like this drawing:

See how everyone is focused on their own stuff, and there's nothing really big drawing your attention?

This drawing doesn't exactly do that...

It's a mostly empty landscape with a huge Luna in the middle, so all your attention is focused on her, rather than on the whole picture...

...but on this drawing, the art style DOES work for me, because even though Luna is the only character, you could argue she's not the center of attention, but rather the moon, the thing she's focusing on.

On the other pic, unless I followed her gaze, I would've never seen twilight.

But in here, it's incredibly clear what she is focused at, and what the drawing wants us to focus on, even if it's not exactly what the artist intended...

I kinda lost my own train of thought around there, but here's the gist of it:

I like the art style on THIS drawing, since it's not focusing on one aspect or detail about it, but rather the whole picture, when on the other drawing, is more focused solely around Luna...
