I don't understand where the "huricanes are twisters" thing come in, but I would imagine that it's called the Huri-Dawg because it's a Huricane plane turned into a dog.

i mean, besides the fact that hurricanes/cyclones are both spinning clouds or visible cones/columns of swift air like tornados/twisters... but yeah-yeah, major differences otherwise, and never heard of no Huri-Dawg but especially never ever heard in my entire life, even if i lived for lots of years, wouldn't have conceived that there's planes called "hurricanes" or whatever....
