I mean first of all, prehensile tails are everywhere, despite being pretty rare in nature. Case in point, this tiger has an inexplicably prehensile tail. Second, I've seen this "sensitive tail" thing all over but like... It's just a bodypart. Sure, someone might have a fetish for it, but rubbing a tail isn't going to be inherently more erotic than rubbing someone's arm, or ear, or whatever else. Sure, if someone has an ear fetish, rubbing their ear might get them going, but it's not because the ear is sensitive, it's because they have a mental association or whatever.

Okay sure, I understand this sort of thing just wasn't meant for me to begin with. I'm not criticizing anyone for liking it. I just find intentionally-inaccurate-anatomy to be kind of bizarre.

I know what you mean. I run a rp and there was this one person whose character was more devastated by getting their tail cut off than getting their legs mulched by a volley of wood shards from a treant.

I DM a rp which is based in a setting I made and is much like dnd in the overall premise. Player characters go on adventures of their choosing and whatnot.

Just this one person made a Werewolf character who she gave a prehensile tail which doubled as an erogenous zone as she would orgasm from brushing her own tail.

Character was an actual idiot and decided to use a tree in a forest filled with treants as target practise for an incendiary weapon. Tree turned out to be a slumbering treant and rather than apologise and put out the fire, her first choice was to try to kill this treant as fast as possible so she wouldn't be killed in retaliation.
