Description

For all the years, memories, and laughs.

It feels strange, 9 years of something ending. How different some of our lives were when this show started, and how incredible a show that was just a product placement became. I rarely get around to drawing ponies, but I absolutely loved this show, and a lot of the community creations that came with it. I hope this is a fitting, wholesome homage to this series and fandom. Wouldn't say I've been active at all in it, but I've always been appreciative. OC, first time trying to draw Twi as well.

  • Actually, the finale hinted on what usually destroys friendships in the real world: when people start their own families.

This happened to me, too - me and a few friends have founded a tech startup company some time after graduation. We knew it doesn't have the potential to become anything big, but for a few years, it was the easiest money we've ever made. A few times, we made over 100 thousand EUR for less than 150 man-hours of actual work. But of course, it wasn't enough (and reliable enough) income to support their new families. Eventually they took regular jobs and ceased to further develop our products, so they slowly became irrelevant. And at the same time, our friendship drifted apart due to limited contact. Still, while it lasted, it was the time I felt most alive in my life. It was also the time G4 MLP was at its prime, which only reinforces the good memories.

  • I wouldn't have met any of my best online friends if it was for MLP. I'm super late in the series, only entered it this past year. And I'm being super wary in my searches on MLP to avoid S9 spoilers. But man, I can't believe it's over after so many years. I'm lucky to have it all instantaneously and experience it all at once, but this show has genuinely changed me as a person when I needed it most. It's characters are characters I genuinely look up to and have fallen in love with, it's morals actually reached me, and it's given me happiness and laughter when I desperately needed it. I live in a really crummy place and was so sad around the time Adventure Time, imo one of the last good quality animated shows on tv, ended. But then I tried MLP and it made such an impact on me. I'm so grateful for this show. I know I'm going to cry buckets when I reach the end at my own pace.

While I still have a lot more to go, only halfway through S6, this show truly has changed my life. Thank you MLP. So much.

  • This show brought me and many others so much joy. There were times when Twilight really did feel like one of my best friends, someone who was always there to offer advice and make me smile. We all got to know her so well over these nine years. Thanks for drawing her Fluff.

  • I loved the mane 6 but the show's been a thorn in my side for the past 5 years. After season 4 it changed and I couldn't stand it anymore and after that ridiculous season 5 finale I switched it off for good. At least now I don't have to worry anymore. Love you Twilight.

Ay man, I thought S5 and it's finale was good, maybe even better than S4's finale :'p
Maybe it's just because I'm taking it all in at once with no month long breaks between seasons like I'm sure it was spaced out to be between episode releases, but I'm loving it all so far. I haven't thought anything after S4 was 'ridiculous'. I mean, there's a lazy episode time to time but I haven't experienced any drop in quality like people say. There was The Crystaling, S6's starting 2 parter, which was abysmal. But the rest of the S6 has been great imo.
Ah, I'm rambling. Not hating your opinion! You stopped at S4 and I'm not judging! I just think everything after S4 deserves a chance, I haven't experienced any drop in quality.

there were several bad episodes not gonna lie, I can only feel a little sad for since you let a few bad episodes ruin the wonderful ride that this show was, but there were several that were pretty good too episode 200 is a Good example, I can only hope that the g5 is something we fim fans can enjoy, as well something that attract a new and younger audience, an audience that love the new generation of ponies as much as we did with ours :-)

you say it as its a bad thing! the show endings isnt bad, its just really sad, and theres alot of the community thats grown up with the show and have very fond and rememberable memories because of this show, if anything its people reminiscing on the good, just as you would a loved one passing away.

I know, but like... I’m sure it’s still a hard thing to see something that’s lasted so long finally come to a close.

Nah, don't feel bad. my life improved exponentially when I gave up pony. it was causing me a great deal of harm.

But I still got a few characters out of it I still love, so I got what I could out of it and moved on to better things. All good. :)

  • I've really lost touch with the show and the fandom after season 4 or 5 I think. Life, responsibilities, work, other interests, I just didn't have time for MLP anymore. However, I was pretty active in the fandom at its height in maybe 2013-2014. It may have mostly been online, but the good times I had, laughs I shared, friends I met, and overall great experiences I had made it an amazing time. My old online friends and I have all moved on and hardly talk anymore, but thanks to this show and fandom, I'll always have those awesome memories. It's still hard to believe so many people and I invested so much time on a children's show and made so much out of it.

  • This was a once in a lifetime kind of show. I'm glad to have been apart of it. Now whike the show is over, I know the fandom isnt and I doubt it ever will.

No it didn't. It basically said that friendships are never guaranteed to last forever, much like everything else.

People move on, go to new places, get new jobs, go to school, maybe raise a family; life goes on.

I know you probably lead with that sentence to be all melodramatic and whatever so you can try to antagonize growth.

    “Growth”

If it ends, it might as well have never happened at all.
