    Now I remember something...when they were held captive by that big Basitin guard and were unconscious, someone obliterated that guard offscreen with magic or something. We still don't know who that mysterious person was, right? It's been a long time.

    No way Nora would do that. She's pranky and has an "eye for an eye" mindset, but she's not a psychopath. That guard was killed in a brutal and horrible way. Remember that Nora punished Clovis himself, a very evil character, by just turning him into a female.
