MemberI was just wondering, is this an actual language? Otherwise why add the other text? Immersion?

MemberYou are entirely correct. I love it when writers go the extra mile and create an original language. However, the issue comes in the presentation. Cinema has it easy since they can present the language in the audible dialogue while giving you the translation in subtitles. While in literature, languages are meant to create communication barriers between the characters and the readers. It adds a layer of mystery and wonder. Only once the reader's perspective is MEANT to understand the language does the dialogue change to the reader's language. Zaush seems to be trying to go with the more cinematic approach and giving both the language and it's translation at the same time. The result of which is this odd, double dialogue.
Please do not misunderstand me. I'm not complaining. He obviously wanted to present this language but with dialogue he also wanted us to understand. In this instance, I can't think of any better way of doing it without rewriting the scene. I'm just trying to explain why some might find it a touch offputting. Still doesn't manage to take away from the overall experience to any notable degree.

BlockedI noticed how he used the word "ni" twice, once for "I'm" and once for "I". Makes sense and that's excellent attention to detail.
Also there are no knights. ;)
