It's one of the fundamentals of horror movies. Just like if you're black in a zombie apocalypse the chances of you surviving are pretty low, If you're asian you do all the hard work, If you're a blonde then everyone wants to fuck you, and if you're a stoner then every conspiracy theory is actually true.
