    That's kind of the thing.
    Someone took her camera while they were asleep and took a picture of them, making it impossible to explain away as pictures they don't remember taking, but there is nothing to explain who or why.

    Think of it like this. Someone emails pictures of you sleeping in your room, but you don't know who did it, there's no signs of anyone having broken into your home, yet they had access to you at your most vulnerable moment. They could have easily killed you if they wanted to.

    Now I remember where I saw this premise. It was one of the movies in the VHS horror series. So although it's not Hladilnik's original concept, still executed quite well.

    I’m pretty sure he means literally. It’s a completely black image for some devices, even on highest brightness. At least for me it is.

    I understand what you boys mean but the thing is, I can sort of see something in the dark background, but can't make out what it is.

    Can anyone see it too?

    I like to think it wasn't a ghost it was the proper owner that saw them go in and instead of telling them to go away he decides to scare them to make sure they never come back solving his problem of keeping them off the property

    Or, the fact of the matter is that they didn't escape, and that picture shows their corporeal bodies, and are trapped in spirit form, needing to go back and claim their bodies, and possibly get eaten or risk their bodies rotting away

    Horror is easy when the logic is centered around inevitability or hopelessness.
