MemberHow is a gif version inferior? Webm's are cancer on mobile devices

MemberYes, this is a gif version from the original WebM file and is not a duplicate.

MemberApologies for spelling "Webm" incorrectly.

MemberWebm vs GIF is not really a question of which is better. Its more a question of what is your device's preference.
My phone for example hates GIFs and plays them at 1/3rd the speed they should be playing at but plays Webms perfectly fine which clearly is the opposite of your phone.
This is why a lot of animations have both a Webm and GIF versions here so both bases are covered.

JanitorIt's actually GIFs that are cancer on mobile, because of this, services like Twitter and Telegram do not even support them and turn all GIF uploads into MP4 instead.
Only reason why webm would be cancerous for you on mobile is if you bought apple, because it's on their best interest that the webm dies in favor of their own h264 and especially h265 which they could get royalties from (and that's why on flipside, only apple devices and safari support h265 while nothing else does).
Actually, this is wrong. This version is directly from furaffinity. As such, it's made from original source material and even though it does have dithering artifacting, thanks to lossless nature it has all the linework intact and not eaten by video compression like it is in parent post.
It's officially spelled WebM, so you fail still :p
Thank.
Altough we do still use common sense sometimes, it's literally not helpful to anyone to convert gif into flash for example.

Membertry opening the gif itself in a new tab, it might play at the correct speed
