Something I learned quickly when leaving funny comments is to not reference yourself in any comments. While its mostly obvious its a joke, because of the ambiguity of it potentially not being a joke means that mods don't wanna take precautions.

Personally I find the rule strict, but I'm almost certain like because people were leaving obviously creepy comments and trying to bs their way out of a ban. It's probably the biggest issue on the site, and without it I'm sure the comment sections would turn to shit real fast. Just gotta think of ways to work around it.

Yeah but look at their records. 8000 tag edits, 500 pool updates. This was a productive member of the site. I'd understand if there was a bad track record, but on any other site they would have been made a mod.

Just because they were a productive member of the site doesn't mean they are exempt from the rules. They were also given 3 other attempts to stop what they were doing over the course of this year, but chose to keep making mistakes.

Ah, I didn't see the other posts. And I'm not saying anyone should be exempt, just that lenience should be considered where its been earned. Big picture, the site will still loose tag quality and organization. They weren't the first I've seen banned recently, I'm just concerned.

It is a quite ambiguous rule. Perplexing considering the site is 80% porn, thus all users are expected to be adults and thus able to take other's opinions with a grain of salt and a healthy heap of doubt.

The flaw in that rule is that its loose definition could lend itself to abuse, and "creepy" comments already get self-moderated into obscurity by the community itself, via the comment voting system.
