The days had gotten so short that by the time Sherri had finished doing a last bit of shopping for snacks for the Christmas Party the next day, it was already dark outside with the moon glimmering in the sky, and yet it wasn’t even six-o-clock! Yet this was Sherri’s favorite time of year, she loved the star filled sky that came with night-time and found herself taking a moment to gaze upon them every time she was caught at a red stoplight.
Today was going to be particularly busy, she had to finish making the variety of snacks and then make sure her clothes were ready for the next day. The family Christmas Party was always held at Momma Ellie’s home and it seemed every year the family gatherings seemed to get a little bit bigger, then again Mally was intent on having an abundant litter of cubs to trail behind her. Sherri took a moment to herself as she breathed in the brisk chill of winter air, snow was starting to fall and they predicted that they’d get almost eight inches overnight. At least Jessica would be driving tomorrow. With an armful of bagged groceries Sherri made her way into the home she shared with a particularly frisky otter and she caught the tawny furred woman standing with her hands on her hips.
