  • Whatever you think about lyre, it would be better for all parties if he was silenced preferably with a penis

  • Seems to me like neither side is getting how the other one is feeling. Lyre's mistake is that he is speaking out of anger.

His anger may just be a result of feeling left out and shunned, the others only see his anger though, giving them the impression that Lyre's anger is unjustified and just him being selfish. Lyre in turn just thinks that they really DO shun him and he is rightfully angry at them.

That's why de-escalation and empathy are very useful social skills to have.

I get the feeling things are going to come to a head and Lyre's going to try leaving the guild at some stage, due to his exclusion and bitterness about it.

i wouldnt blame him, he is dry as bone in a sexual oasis... and then he gets the attitude... i know i would quit long time ago.

  • I can see the potential story thread of him turning Judas and going to help the bird by going against the guild.

Scorned + Angry = Lash out

  • His behavior warrants the backlash at'em but like someone else said. He's essentially in a Water park and has no room to swim.

Watching dozens of people get their rocks off on a hourly bases while your basically a black sheep of group is real cause for annoyance. Hell even Tinsel got hooked up with a cutie who's not even part of the guild yet.

Him and Barlo are polar opposites of each other.

  • While I don't know the whole story thus far, but from the other strips (and please don't judge me), I'm thinking that Lyre is a bit selfish, in that he wants others to accommodate him, like it's an expectation with being in the guild. I don't think I've seen him even hint that he'd offer to please the others, just giving others a headache from overall complaining. To me, if one wants to receive, one must be willing to give. Forget yourself so that others may come to remember you. Perhaps I'm overthinking all this.

Of course he could offer, and get rejected over and over, to which I think we know what would happen next. Or we're just too early in the story, and things will turn good for him through his positive actions.

  • Why is Lyre even apart of this guild? I feel like he would be happier if he found another one, with pokemon who he fit in with a bit better. Maybe it becomes a part of the story that he ends up leaving to hopefully make him a happier guy.

Lyre is gay, though based on previous strips he is willing to be pegged by a female. However, of the other males, Aiden is straight/possibly bi (he isn't sure himself), Dom, is maybe bi but definitely leans towards females, and Bolero is anti-sex. Thus, Lyre never gets any from the other guild members (closest he got was the interrupted anal-fingering from Aiden)

Lyre's a bottom, his whole MO is to be a sub and please others but he's got nobody to top him. He's also asked the Shop Owners, and the only one he's rejected is someone who he doesn't like that continually sneaks into the guild.

Just hope he catches a break because since the comic started its just been "fuck you Lyre" essentially

Yeah, the little pink thing should just stay in his room and not interrupt their fun time by bringing up how left out he feels. Such a needy brat. /s

Being surrounded by "friends" who constantly push you aside and chide you for wanting what they constantly have would make anyone bitter or upset. That they then get upset at him being upset, instead of talking with and helping him, is just perpetuating the problem. I'm starting to see the issue the town has with the guild if they all act this selfishly on a regular basis.

It doesn't help that all he was asking for was where was Aiden given they were on a mission together and Dom insults him as "The Pink Thing".

  • Honestly, I'm really starting to see why the village hates this guild based on how they're treating Lyre.

All he wants is someone else in the guild to agree do *anything* with him, and they all shun him. Okay, fine. I get it, he can't force anybody to have sex with him.

Where it gets me is that they seem to treat his (perfectly understandable) frustration as though it's an offense to THEM, like he's completely in the wrong for being upset at them having sex. I've been in that situation, and it's the *worst.* I've literally had to leave my apartment and take a walk because people I deeply cared for at the time were having sex and specifically excluding me, and I couldn't stand it.

Worse yet, the guild members don't even have the basic courtesy to take it somewhere private, they just get it on right in front of him and basically rub it in his face. You could maybe argue there's no place in the hall they can have privacy, but... well, that's the guildmaster's fault for not designing the layout well. Regardless, there's a guild member that's clearly hurting and upset, and everybody else is either ignoring him or insulting him.

And that's how they're treating a *fellow guild member.* If they shit on Lyre THAT much, how are they treating the other villagers?

(The worst part about all this is that I feel like Lyre's been treated so poorly that there's basically no solution for him except to leave, now... even if they recruit another gay member by this point, I can see Lyre getting so clingy in desperation that he ends up pushing them away.)

  • They really do treat lyre like shit.
    They really are inconsiderate...
    No, they're inconshiterate;
Even when he's there first they just start going at it right in front of him, and he's the one expected to leave the room. feeling completely unwanted do to the fact that he's in an entire guild of people that do nothing but have sex and he's completely untouched, and seemingly unwanted.

they leave literally treat him like he's this thing they're ashamed to have around them and they relegate him to the basement because they have no self control, and won't limit themselves to one or two rooms, not including their own rooms..., which is already causing problems anyway.

And rather than comfort him about any of the problems he's having, they're just like deal with it, and go to your room Potter we don't want to deal with you.
like they only want him around to have a strong electric type if bolero actually gets the help to leave.
If they didn't want to hear liar complaining, they could have started up in any other room, as I guarantee you Lyre didn't just sit his ass down in that room to watch.

Second post because I forgot to respond to this.

The village hates them because it's an image thing. They think the guild makes them look bad. The people of the village seem to be pissed off at the only ones willing to take care of their problems are a bunch of perverts. and they don't do anything directly about it because they don't want to have to deal with their own problems.
But from at least what I can tell, the guild doesn't really interact with anyone in the village unless they specifically have business to do.

Aiden I can understand more, he's not explored the depths of his sexuality yet and might come around eventually. He hasn't said anything mean to him though, as far as I'm aware.

The April Fools prank where he pretended to be a new member and got his hopes up.

It might be that they only interact with people when they have business because of the issues at this point, and why the rest of the town is more using Freelance Mercenaries to avoid having to deal with the Guild.

Nah, the bank owner is employing those freelancers to actively remove jobs that the guild could be taking, and also raising the price on the guild's rent to remove the guild while the town's folks literally have been saying it's an image thing.

It had to happen. Speaking in broader terms if this guild doesn’t go bankrupt first, then the group will tear itself apart. The constant stress placed on each member will just become worse and worse until, inevitably, they begin to lash out at each other or just leave the guild altogether.

That's not entirely The gilts fault, I don't think, but I can agree that they do help worsen in the problem.

their major problem is that they lack any form of self-control. They only have to restrict one or two rooms at most from where they fuck, and it would solve a chunk of the problem. but they just can't.
I somewhat think a big part of it is Sidra specifically, as she's the one letting a lot of them into the guild.

Also a big possibility is lyre leaves the guild, and fucks off somewhere, and they have to go and apologize.

and to boot, its probably his fault he isn't getting laid, a shitty whiny attitude like that would drive anyone away

That sounds like Lyre's problem. At the core of his conflict, he wants a guy to have sex with him, and the guy doesn't want to.

He was told that guy was not doing well by that guy's work partner, and he is still insiting on seeing him, probably to still beg for sex. He is ignoring the lack of consent to beg for sexual favors from someone who isn't interested. the guildmembers are right to be rude to him. as for the guild getting it on infront of him, he is choosing to be in common areas where it is accepted by the laws of the guild he is in for people to use for sex.

Just because other people are boning, doesn't mean he is owed that.
