  • Jeez. If artists would allow people to pay easily using PayPal or similar services, there would be a lot less drama.

  • A shame paypal has left a bad taste in some people's mouths. And deadjackal, I'd be careful with that attitude, artists owe us nothing at all, to be honest.

  • sadly what artists dont seem tho get is the internet is not a museum or a book store or an art show as soon as somthing hits the net its free game. and thats why i dont post my art on the net. and besides i dont think im that good any way my friends are just blind.

  • Art, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. The quality of art is not related to the cost you might pay for it. Much freely distributed art is fantastic. If the artist sells their art, sharing or redistributing it is most certainly theft.

What it all boils down to is simple courtesy. A bit of common decency. Wether free or not, respecting the artists feelings, even if that means paying for the art, is the best way to encourage them to produce more.

Ironic that this comic ended up on one of the largest fur-sharing sites on the web.

One that tries to respect the wishes of the content creators by removing content as it's pointed out to the admins.

Gotta say, though, I've been visiting this site for years, and this comic still cracks me up.

An artist who isn't trying to make a living of the thing he/she loves doing I might add.

  • Fine then, if you won't grant the rights to redistribute your work, then I won't. But I certainly won't be spending money on your product, when there are tons of free alternatives that grant me distribution rights.
