Training trip

Before Camp Pines opens every summer there are a couple weeks where the only attendees are the counselors, both new and returning. They get training on first aid, swimming, CPR, fire safety, how to set up tents, the layout of the trails and campsites around the Camp itself, everything they need to do their job. Not all of the lessons are taught officially, but are passed on as institutional knowledge, from the old counselors to the new. In this case, Jenny is teaching her friend Lucy how to convince Chief Counselor Kian to take them into town for burgers and milkshakes.

In short, Lucy joins the camp as a junior counselor in 1985.

    Well, the original question was erased, but considering this image is happening in 1985, Jenny is 17 (she started as a junior counsellor in 84 at 16), and Lucy (who is a year older)is 18.

    You're off by a year. 18 and 19, since we pegged Jenny's birthday in December and she's 17 in the summer of '84 and started as a junior counselor at 16 in '83. Jenny is also about 5ft4, so Lucy is 5ft2-ish.

    Actually seems like a close match! Although the roof on this is sloped, and I'm led to believe it's a 60s or 70s car because that's appropriate for when Camp Pines takes place.

    I do appreciate the search effort though.
