I honestly really enjoyed playing this game back in the day. My youngest brother got a Sega Saturn shortly after the system's life ended so it and it's games were all going for really cheap. We did manage to unlock all the characters too. And I know it gets a lot of flack but I thought there was something charming about the game's soundtrack.

It's no Mariokart, but it's not actually a bad game like it's reputation suggests. I had some genuine fun with it.

Played it on gamecube in Sonic Mega Collection unlocked a few chracters was genuinely surprised by tails doll.

Sheesh yeah way back that shit used to scare me when I was a kid and Jesus Christ man I had nightmares about that damn doll especially when people made a videos about it 😨

Sonic R pro here, just get the PC edition its better. Adter messing with some hacs I discovered who is truly the worst characterin the game. That title goes to Eggrobo! Amy is a good character, just gotta pick and choose when to use her boost.
(Also you can get complete texture overhauls. I suggest looking into Sonic R Mania or Cracked Metal)
