MemberMost of them have a kind of fluff but this is the first time I've seen proper Electric Fuzz on a fur

Joking aside, she's pretty cute.

MemberAnyway, I like her (even if it's weird that JN wrote her as lesbian but still has done it with Genwyn)
Shitsandgiggles
MemberShe's probably meant to be a certain flavour of pansexual but just identifying as a lesbian for personal reasons.

MemberFrankly given the context of the comic that's... unlikely? It seemed like Naylor really was just throwing one character's identity under the bus for the sake of that other guy getting to "man up" in some weird power fantasy. I don't think it's really that deep, just the author treating lesbians as something "cool" for dudes to manage to bone down with. I mostly take some issue with framing it as a case of the character having internalized coming-out to do rather than the author being weird about orientation in a rather insensitive way. Like part of the point of that happening was that it was significant *because* she is/identifies as a lesbian, and the vibe was very much more "heehee I can be her exception" rather than "heehee I'm the key to her pan closet". Unless Naylor thinks shacking up with trans women would maker her pan and that fuckin' a straight-up dude is just a further extension of that, in which case, (Insert Pejoratives of your choice here, shit/fuck/damnit/etc, I don't have anything coherent to say just fuckin' hell).
It viscerally disgusts me but like, given the reputation the author has in general that doesn't exactly surprise me or seem like a point worth over-emphasizing. Not like I really have a high horse to judge anyone from right now since, like, I'm right here too lmao.

MemberI get it, mostly we're making weird leaps of logic in our own head to justify this stuff. But really it only takes a solid hammering out of fantasy from reality.

MemberThat's a long comment but from what I see is that Jay has no idea how lesbianism works...
Even if Genwyn looks a bit androgynous (and strangely only that kind of guy can be bi/gay in his comic, he'll never draw a muscular man on another ever) it doesn't simply work like that.
Anyway I like JN's art for the art, not the artist (even if they're a moron).
