Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

Here is the funny part- nothing is moral or immoral. Morality is a human concept that is constantly redefined by humanity. While some moral dictations appear to be universal, such as murder, that is merely a reflection of an apparent universal desire to not be murdered. Now, bear this chain of reasoning for me, the reason why there appears to be a universal desire to not be murdered (or have the people you care about not be murdered) is because alternative ways of thinking have been filtered out via evolution. A gene that prompts a mentality that causes an organism to be apathetic or antagonistic towards is own life, for intuitively obvious reasons, will not proliferate it's genetics- effectively being filtered out. So the desire to not murder, or any other obvious "immoral" acts are just simply in conflict with genetic survival. There is no law of the universe outside of humanity demanding what we should or shouldn't do, it's just a result of a filtering process billions of years in the making. For further reading, I encourage you check out "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins.

While I agree with your point you are spamming an e621 comment section with fucking dawkins quotes, and I am thus morally obligated to call you a little bitch. Besides, by feeling the need to preach about the constructed nature of morality, you fall victim to the very same sort of meme that afflicts any moralist.
