It is impossible to have anything but a 100% super-positive glorified opinion on Lyre without getting downvoted by all the Lyre fans who refuse to see him as anything but the very image of a perfect specimen.

My main problem is that he sits around people engaged in straight sex, being gay himself, while complaining that he is not getting any which just ruins the mood for everybody. I actually like aspects of his character, but you simply cannot say anything even slightly negative about him without getting like 8+ downvotes. Just count how many this one is going to get~

But it does, in my hilariously downvoted comment I said Lyre would find more fun if he stopped complaining around people he isn't even interested in having sex with in the first place, and in this piece he gets some fun(I know it is not canon, that's kinda the point). That's what it is based on.

It won't work that way mate. He's only the way he is because of how many times he's been denied by people in the town and the guild when asking like a normal person and not being pushy or bitchy. As said, those 2 qualities only came about because of him getting denied 24/7. That's what his character is meant to be. The guy who can't get any no matter what, even if he's nice and charming. It's not like he's asking for much either. Just looking for a gay top since he's gay himself. I've seen a couple of people say that is asking for too much. It's not like he can suddenly go straight or bi or even choose to in the first place. But anyways, he's only being held back by the character owner who's over using the cuckold meme on him, or rather just allowing the other artists to do so since nothing can be pushed forward until the comic gets to something for him which would probably never happen in the first place since his whole character is meant to be just that "comedic" meme.

It kinda sucks if your character's relationship status equates to that of a sitcom relationship. But that's what keeps sitcoms running; the eventual fact that when it does happen, it'll be a sort of cathartic release for the audience.
