  • Waste of solider, really. I'm sure there was a suicide mission he could be sent on. Better yet, tell him to go check the breast size on a Codex.

  • He'll be fine. They can just stabilize him.

That said, I really hope Firaxis gave the writing team some actual money this time around. The writing in XCOM 2 was outright awful when you remembered that (nearly) everything you read and heard was supposed to be written or said by resistance fighters and not XCOM 1's traditional military structure.

this was a beautiful comic. Absolutely lovely. I haven't smiled that wide in a while.

Yeah. Helps keep the cabin fever from taking over, that and old Robin Williams skits.

Actually, xcom 2's writing is better then Chimera squad, torque is the only good thing.

Yeah, I just played Chimera Squad and the writing is a fucking shitshow. The writing flat-out assumes you played XCOM1 and beat XCOM2 cause both games are glossed over as "XCOM won the war". Its been 5 years since XCOM2 not 50 years, why the hell is everyone so friendly with one another? Torque's 'I'm ex-Advent, I hate you all'-attitude is the only character thats actually fitting but the random(?) base conversations means she rarely talks/has few dialogue lines.

Theres a difference between thinking and fondling

Would that be a) morals and b) the law?

On a side note I just really, really wish the voices were better in the game. Not a hint of lisp or accent on any of the alien agents, just regular old plain jane human voices on all of them. It wouldn't take much to fix them either! Pop em in a voice synthesizer and play with their lines, then overlay all of them with the same settings. Except for verge. Need to get those awesome ssssslithery ssssyllabless in. Just a missed opportunity I suppose.

Why do the mutons look completely different? Why do none of the aliens sound alien? Why do sectoids look and act almost completely different? Even the hybrids look different from WOTC. Shall we even mention its weird any alien joined, given at least 1 eats people? I'm convinced this was a lower effort side-thing.

I agree that the character dialogue is a little thin, but god I love the worldbuilding.
