Listen I get being locked out of content is never fun, but artists have to make money somehow. There is no one best way to attract and retain income when it comes to freelancing.

Plus that's $1 for every edit they've done up until this point, so you could just cancel once you got everything you want.

Yeah, but at this point you're pretty much selling the art based on IP's you don't have rights to, so you could argue that the artist is doing copyright infingement, which can get him into a heap load of trouble, especially since he's profiting off of it.
