3 months, 3 model iterations and most of my sanity later, I've finally finished it! 3 months ago I set out to learn character creation in blender, my end goal being to make something akin to an old Tasaric animation. I now understand why it takes people like him literal months to do the things that they do, this stuff is massively time consuming. It was a blast though, there's just something satisfying about finishing a project like this. When I had started I didn’t even think I could model a dolphin let alone animate the damn thing.
A massive thank you to Whiteperson, while he didn’t have a direct hand in this project his Ziina model (which is free to use and available on his FA btw) helped me solve a massive problem with my own rigging system. Without that model this project would have died around a month ago when I ran into a brick wall.
I've got plans for more animations. Lets just hope they don’t take another 3 months :P

The way the toy buckled and then slipped in before the deep insertion was a nice touch. Presumably getting comfortably lined up internally before that final thrust.

MemberHey that's impressive! You animation looks natural and that alone makes such a difference. Maybe have a look at lighting and camera settings if you want to push your renders to look even more real.
