Description

See, Tai is the type of person who tends to get himself into trouble with his carefree attitude. But sometimes... he can make someone really happy if you let him run his mouth. Aaaah~

  • Ok... That's just fucking cute. Like... Extremely cute. Gluttony in that fourth and fifth panel is cute, Tai and his sweet talking is cute, this whole thing is cute.

This comic is now fucking cute.

  • I forget if I said this before, but I find the development of secondary and lower-tiered characters to be extremely important when it comes to world-building. The Eeveelutions comic was still good, but this developing relationship between Tai and Gluttony is a very welcoming change of pace. And, by the looks of it, most other people agree!

  • This is sweet, but I had always had the suspicion that Gluttony talks that way to mask some sort of insecurity. Like if he didn't adopt an image as the "hood" talking guy he wouldn't be noticed for anything but his size.

This is honestly why I'm enjoying this comic a lot more than OEevee. OEvo is actually putting time to flesh out their characters, unlike OEevee which was just constant sex while getting to know the characters during it. Which isn't bad, sex scenes are not bad, OEevee was full of quality ones, especially the Sloth scenes. But this comic makes me like the characters more for themselves instead of the the quality of Sam's lewd encounter with a them. I love Pride and Gluttony 10 times more here than it did in OEevee. It's even better this comic doesn't seem to just be focusing on Sam too.

Characterization to your characters is everything, no matter what. I'd rather this comic take it's time for upcoming lewd scenes instead of instant sex and characterization during or after. As a fic writer, dramatic arts buff, and someone who likes good writing, I'm loving this comic so much more than the last one. It's why I love MLP Gen 4 and JoJo Part 4: DiU to absolute death. It fleshes out it's characters so much more than it's previous entries. They're just so... On the mark with their characterization. I love well written characters because it makes seeing stuff that happens to them, which does include them getting lewded, all the more emotionally or relatably connected to the viewer. Which only makes them better.

Anyway, sorry. Big random ramble out of no where, I'm sorry. I just get this way when it comes to well written things, I go ham when it comes to good characterization and growth. Especially when the characters are a lot better than they were before.

  • The wholesome energy is resonating!
Also, that last panel tho! It's enough to make a grown man cry.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Following ONLY the primary character in a story doesn't ruin it for me, but it leaves me thirsting for more if I find I like the other characters, as well.

I'm sure they would've been fleshed out in time. After all, the original plan was for Sam to attend college rather than being in a guild. There, Tai might've been introduced as a furret. If you think about it, the only thing that really changed about the story was Sam and the others no longer being Pokemon. In fact, were it not for the DMCA, we'd be FURTHER into the story than we already are! Of course, the whole college thing never happened (at least not yet), so old OSE is just plain inferior. Now, if Kuro starts that comic up again while fleshing out the original cast, that'd be a different story.

This comparison is odd and out of the blue, but maybe think about it this way: If it hadn't been for Cotton Eye Joe, I'd been married long time ago.Where did you come from, where did you go? Where did you come from, Cotton Eye Joe?

"Cotton Eye Joe" is Nintendo with their DMCA, and being "married" is Sam going to college and old OSE continuing.

  • This is the hottest page yet. I fricking love Gluttony's design and personality, and the same goes for Tai. But the cherry on top is the genuine and heartfelt compliments and reactions they're giving each other. This is some hot, hot romance.

  • A good plot. An overarching story. Well developed characters. And even development for said characters. Amazing story, and a proper one, great job. *claps* You've made a real work of art, and its a comic on e621.
