  • Yknow, I gotta give you credit. The way you do your scales on the dragons is simple, yet it works well enough, so people can recognize, "oh hey, das a dragon." And not a scaleless lizard.

    And... in the second book SUNY has the seawing egg and apparently sand wings emit heat so really qibli wouldn’t need the blankets

    If quibli emits heat he would need blankets to keep that heat in, unlike in deserts where he would want to remain cool

    the cold of winter's scales is overpowered by the emotional warmth that Qibli feels from the touch

    and maybe it's a bit warm out tonight; according to Foeslayer, Prince Arctic's scales feel "like running water" which is cool but not frigid, so maybe it's not so bad
