Yep kitty was about to cast Ms Inverse's trademark magical tactical nuke in a small enclosed room so the countermove by the lynx was more mutual self preservation than anything

The ending reminded me of on of the books from skyrim with a magicians duel having one drain their mana and leaving a poition for them only to not realize a paralysis or other type of draining spell was on them as they ran off with the treasure. By the time the rival caught up with them they had carried the treasure for them and won
