Copyright issues; original author didn't like what Square was doing, and they used the IP without his permission. The sequel to the 2nd game was renamed to “The 3rd Birthday”, that was 2010. We haven't gotten anything new since a small cameo of Aya, and a possible copyright registration in Europe.
