That he knew her father had died (i.e.: was killed) that night, before anyone else could have known? Or maybe I've got my timeline of events all mixed up. I really should go back and re-read all of this again, as I'm pretty sure I'm missing or forgot about something.

Maybe that information was never released to the public. (which night her father was murdered)

But the look could also be for revealing that she knows about his antlers. she's saying it to provoke a strong reaction to catch him off guard.

Considering Straxus's background with his brother and his antlers her saying something like that could be she's trying to force a confession by treatening to finish what his brother started.

Straxus is either gonna react with anger or he'll try and throw her off balance by saying take em then.

I think maybe "Ain't that what all cops do to save their asses?" may have revealed something about his motives that Jonesy picked up on and we didn't.

Could be that she relized the police are pinning a lot more on him that was in reality their doing but idk
