Sad part is he is mostly right.

The law doesn't always work, but without it most of us would still be so much worse off. This is a sad fact. Doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of improvement that could be done.

Nonetheless, you still can't kill people for "stepping out of line". Sometimes, even if somebody deserves to die, we must abstain from doing it because that's how we stop ourselves from becoming like them.
