Basitin part reminds me of Adepts from Shadowrun a little bit.

Yeah can kind of see that as Clovis dose not care for anyone and there is a wolf Templar and the only reason Trace Legacy turned into mass killer is because his wife was murder bye a wolf and his unbron kid and with black magic that would most likely turn anyone into a revenge seeking filled killer
