This may be totally irrelevant, but: it looks like it's one word. "Deadcat" is slang in audio engineering for a fuzzy (sometimes literally faux fur) microphone cover, used mainly to reduce wind noise when recording outside.

How one might be "reused" I leave to your imagination.
