There's a few moving parts to it, but the gist is that it's a genre in which society is divided into Alphas (dominant, macho, tough, etc.), Betas (neutral, average, etc.), and Omegas (submissive, meek, weak, etc.). The kinky part is that Omegas can be impregnated by Alphas, even if they're male.
