  • Needs more muffler; also, why a fan if there is no radiator?

also, also: how the hell does it not simply explode with no radiator(s)?

also, also, also: dem glasses. sheesh.

It’s probably a just a clutch fan for pushing heat out the back thru the vents and that engine looks like a LS because of the headers instead of the boxer And it could have the radiator in the front for weight distribution or have menthol fuel for a cold burn and not need coolant Or make the engine sweat because of a grade of ethanol that keeps the engine cool

Could be almost any form of older V8, sure (or a newer style with a distributor conversion maybe, as there are no coil packs shown). The fluid coupling clutch on the fan would be on the wrong (or at least inefficient) side to be effective, so it would likely be a solid fan; great for loss of limb, sometimes decapitations. Also, engine-driven fans are designed to pull air back thru a radiator, not to push it back out. I suppose a reverse-rotation water pump (and reversed fan blades) like those on serpentine belt systems might address this?

Would need to have a reverse rotation transaxle based on the rear engine configuration, which leads to questions of running a front radiator: has there ever been a V8 with a rear-mounted water pump, or even rear water outlets (thermostat housing)? Sted is normally a stickler for detail, so I am a little surprised that this engine even has too many pulleys: would only need the water pump (with fan) and alternator, but looks to have (2) more, like P/S and and A/C compressor? Hell, something installed in so small a space would probably warrant an electric water pump.

Nonetheless, a cool concept that looks to need some further ... engineering.

    The e6 automechanic, love it.
