Day 15: Ghost Type
How many eggs does it take to get a shiny dreepy? Don't give up!

  • So since dragapults launch their children as projectiles (the dreepy also love being launched), does breeding a dragpult basically give it extra ammo?

    Wasn’t it 22,000 or something? I forgot.

1/8192 after gen 2 and prior to gen 6 (technically 8/65535 as that is how many personality values exist and if you roll under 8 it's a shiny, and 0 is a number the game considers under 8), after gen 6 this was doubled to 1/4096 if you have the shiny charm that adds two additional chances effectively tripling the odds of generating a shiny, and if the mating pokemon have names in different languages there is one additional roll. So as of gen 7, minimum shiny odds are 4/4096 or 1/1024. Gen 8 has a glitch where the initial roll isn't made if any additional rolls exist, so the max is 3/4096 or 1/1365.
